Jason E. Shamy, Esq

Jason has received the highest rating level from his peers by achieving a Martindale-Hubbell AV® Preeminent Peer Review Rating. This accomplishment results from the direct feedback from local judges and attorneys with regards to their rating of Mr. Shamy's legal abilities and professional ethical standards. The AV rating is the hallmark rating, and is a significant accomplishment. This rating attests to the esteem with which the attorney has earned from his peers and a demonstration of the attorney's ranking among his peer at the highest level of professional excellence.

Mr. Shamy received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1990 and his Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law at Camden in 1994.

While earning his Juris Doctor degree he was named Dean’s Scholar and was the recipient of American Jurisprudence Awards in the areas of Trial Practice, Advocacy and Torts. He was admitted to the New Jersey, the United States District Court, District of New Jersey and the Pennsylvania Bars in 1994.

He served as Judicial Clerk in both the Civil and Criminal Divisions of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Middlesex County with the Hon. Yolanda Ciccone and the Hon. Douglas Wolfson. He has served as Public Defender in the Township of Piscataway, the Borough of Jamesburg and the City of New Brunswick and as a Municipal Prosecutor in the Township of East Brunswick, and the Borough of Helmetta and the Borough of Bradley Beach. He currently serves as the Municipal Prosecutor in the Borough of Deal and the Village of Loch Arbour.

He is a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice (formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America – New Jersey) and the New Jersey Bar Association. Mr. Shamy has served his community as a member of the Planning Board and Zoning Boards in the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach. a member of the Point Pleasant Beach Recreation Commission and as a Trustee of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Monmouth and Middlesex Counties.

His areas of practice concentration include Civil and Criminal Trials, Personal Injury Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Real Estate Transactions and Litigation and Appellate Practice.
